Topology Optimization

Topology Optimization is a numerical procedure for calculating the best material distribution of a 3D model, redesigning the geometry in order to obtain an optimised part both in terms of volume and weight reduction, mechanical resistance and rigidity improvement, maximised performance.

For a long time, topology optimization was limited by traditional production methods. 

Additive Manufacturing, as a manufacturing method without design restrictions, has changed the paradigm and allowed topology optimization to be used to manufacture any part, regardless of its complexity.
